After two years of silence, I finally have something to blog about. Hurrah! Since the autumn of last year, I've been working hard on a new project for Vertigo called 'Clean Room'. The book is written by the incredibly awesome Gail Simone and edited by the frankly wonderful Shelly Bond and should be out later this year. Now that it has been officially announced, I can start posting stuff about it over the coming weeks and months, but for now, here is the very first page I drew for the book, back in late October of last year. This is actually page 08 of issue 1.
I am on twitter! Who cares? Hopefully somebody. Anyway, I will be using the old social media to mainly, stick up stuff to do with bad, but awesome straight to video movies, comic books and video games. What’s not awesome about that! Hurrah!
Also - two Blog posts in one day! The mind boggles.
Hurrah! Age of the Wolf 3 has officially started! I had meant to post on this Blog far more frequently leading up to the release of Wolf, but basically, work deadlines and tonnes of other stuff all got in the way. However, from now on, I’m determined to stick to my original promise and update this at least once a week and hopefully (dare I say it) more than that.
Anyway, Age has now started and in fact, episode 3 will be out this very Wednesday. Which is tomorrow!
To celebrate, here’s a link to the very very excellent 2000ad Covers Uncovered website, run by the hugely awesome Mr Pete Wells.
On there you’ll find not only the process breakdown for my cover for Ep 01, but also a whole load of other goodies too – namely, pretty much every cover that graces the front of the galaxies greatest comic. It is an awesome website and well worth checking out on a frequent basis.
Right, I’m off to do some more drawing. Check back soon and they’ll be more stuff. Honest! J
Age of the Wolf returns for its third and final outing on July 10th in 2000AD Prog 1840 Prog. Written by the totally awesome Alec Worley it’s chock full of plenty of ‘death by werewolf’ action.
I’ll be posting up some inked pages in the very near future. Until then, here’s a cheeky sneak peek of a bit of a panel, showing Rowan, deep in thought. No doubt, thinking about them pesky Werewolves. Cheers! J.
Welcome to Jon's Blog!
Here's where I'll be sticking any sketches, previews or news of my upcoming work - or links to anything awesome I find on this here interweb!
